Battlefield Return

We take WWII and Vietnam veterans back to the places where they fought – Normandy, Market Garden, Bastogne, the Pacific, Khe Sanh, the Mekong Delta – to honor their sacrifice and give them a chance at closure and recognition.

Stronghold Transition

An in-person program for Special Operations Forces operators and female veterans, working alongside leading experts and physicians to face injury, identity, and purpose head-on. Not broken. Not alone.

Education Initiative

We bring students face to face with living history so that the stories, lessons, and values of this generation do not disappear when the last veteran is gone.

Normandy 2026 82nd Anniversary

The Best Defense Foundation, in partnership with Delta Air Lines, honored 27 WWII veterans with another return to Normandy for the 82nd anniversary of D-Day in June 2026. Over 10 days, these remarkable men were celebrated, remembered, and recognized for their courage in the liberation of France and Europe. They walked the ground where history was made, sharing their stories and receiving the tribute they have long deserved. Relive the veteran’s journey now–Watch the video!

Battlefield Return Vietnam

Keep the title and change the blurb to — Eight MACV-SOG Vietnam veterans returned to the battlefields where history was made. In April 2026, our inaugural battlefield return to Vietnam united these elite warriors for a journey of healing, honor, and camaraderie as they faced their next chapter together.
