
Tec5 Cletis A. Bailey
Company K, 333rd Regiment, 84th Infantry Division.
Cletis A. Bailey was born November 30th, 1925 and raised in Bradley County, Tennessee. Shortly after graduating from high school, he was drafted into the Army on August 4, 1944.
He was shipped to Europe as a replacement. There, he was assigned to Co K, 333rd Regiment, 84th Infantry Division. He arrived when his new unit was in the Battle of the Bulge in late January, 1945. After the Bulge, he fought in the Rhineland to cross the Roer River and further into Germany. Cletis was discharged on June 26th, 1946. Upon returning from WWII, Cletis remained in the Army under Active Reserves for nearly 3 years while attending National School of Business. In 1968 he enlisted in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Master Sergeant and served in Vietnam.
