D-DAY 78TH ANNIVERSARY – DAY 5

What a parade!!!!!!! The city of Carentan always puts on such a great parade every year for our veterans. This year was extra special as the veterans were IN the parade. The smiles on their faces were contagious as thousands of people cheered for them! The veterans gave out their personalized trading cards to all the kids as they passed by and even our most soft spoken veterans were boisterously yelling “thank you”! The skies stayed clear until the very last person in the parade came through, but then came down with a fury of hail and heavy rain like we have never experienced. Don’t worry, though, the veterans were dry and warm thanks to our team who lives out our motto of #takingcareoftheoneswhotookcareofus #rememberdday
